Privacy Policy

When you create an account at Trylasotar, you supply certain personal information to us; namely, date of birth, email address, and a username. Your username is publicly visible; the rest is not.

We need your email address to send you story alerts that you have requested on the Options page. By default, email alerts are sent for stories and authors on your favorites list—which is initially empty. You may receive all update emails if you indicate on the Options page that you wish to do so. You may turn off receiving favorites-list based emails on the same page.

We need your birthdate to ensure that adult-oriented writing is not accessible by minor users of this site. Further, due to the Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA), we cannot legally allow children under the age of thirteen (13) years of age to register accounts on the site.

Neither your birthdate nor your email address is visible to anyone except site administrators, and neither will be sold, sublicensed, leased, given out, or otherwise disseminated in any way, at any time, in perpetuity.

Again, your email address is used only to send you alerts you have specifically requested.

If you delete your user account, all information relating to it is expunged permanently from our database, including your email address.

If you receive any mail from trycanta.com that is in violation of the above policies or your expressed wishes, please forward it to abuse@trycanta.com with an explanation of your grievances. We will resolve them in as timely a manner as possible.

If you have any questions about this policy, please email josh@trycanta.com.
