As I've told you before, I like the way this story goes. It takes a while to get where it's going, but that's all right with me.
Hermione believes in the system, as always. Meghan's playing and enjoying herself. And the boys are jostling for position. Sounds like a normal day to me.
Remus being prophetic himself, claiming their happiness will vanish?
And here comes Andromeda—with presents, no less!
Are all these presents going to be significant or useful somehow? Meghan's I can see, or rather I can't see, if she needs to hide—Hermione's if she needs to read something in the stars—whatever a dodecatant does, Harry will probably need it soon...
And, of course, Draco's globe. :shivers:
I do love it when the boys squabble.
Ooh, horsies! It's so cute that you know exactly what they looked like, and why they were named what they were named.
So why is Draco nervous about opening his present?
Yes, I think Meghan would indeed look beautiful in that dress. And Hermione's got a point—she doesn't, or didn't, care so much about what she looks like. Of course, if she's trying to get a certain hawk interested in her...
Is Harry about to invent Quidditch?
The globe must be affecting Draco already, if Meghan touching him annoys him so much.
Oh no. Wormtail. He heard everything—he knows all about the wards—they can figure out a way around them—
A bleeding heart...red snake-like eyes...a wand, a dagger, a sword stained with blood...
Shudder shudder.
Oh man. I think whatever's on/in the globe is reacting with Draco's urge to get away from Death Eaters and having some bad effects...
And Harry smells Wormtail? Interesting.
Hope you update again soon!

Good stuff. I hope the next chapter comes out soon. And if you need another beta, please feel free to ask!
Hestia Hesperus replies:
:-D Of course I know to ask you...and trust me when I say that your offer may just be taken up sooner than you think for a certain fic...
(Not that Anne doesn't like beta-ing my stuff, but she's had a lot on her mind lately, and I don't want to burden her more than she already is. I just want to give her a bit of a break and give others a chance to beta my things.)
So, thanks!
Nanuq replies:
Sounds like a plan. :)

Is one of the eggs Drazah's name? (hazard) it's a good name.
Andrew
Hestia Hesperus replies:
Actually, no, it's not. I stole that from Anne's "Roman a Clef". It's the name Alison (Aletha) gives herself, just like Desdemona is Danger's counterpart's former name.
Since the third chapter is out, I think it's safe to say what the two Easter Eggs are:
Easter Egg #1: First, look at each first word of each scene from this chapter. They spell out a certain person's name.
Easter Egg #2: Look at each last word of each scene, and focus on the very last letter of each. It spells out another person's name.
:-) Yeah, so I had a lot of fun with that. And nobody guessed it, for which I was proud.

But as to your news item... Hey!

"The Dark Lady Anne shall seize the land..."
You know you love me...

This was inspired by the Dangerverse, cradled by the old style of writing, and nurtured by the Harry Potter series. Thus, the only part I really played in this was the singing of the lullaby and changing of the melody. And so, without further ado, I present to you my ink-and-parchment infant...
